Everything great starts with an idea. The Startup Evangelist was born from a bold vision to document and share Africa’s most powerful startup stories. For too long, our narrative had been written by others. It was time to reclaim it, to spotlight our own founders, investors, innovators, and leaders.
In rooms where Africa’s future was being imagined - where policy, capital, and startup ecosystems intersected - one silent observation kept lingering: “How can more people be in these rooms?”
The Startup Evangelist (TSE) was born from this very tension and frustration. Frustration that access to capital, meaningful content, and the right networks always felt like a luxury for the few.
How could we turn it from a luxury of the few and make it a fuel for the many?
For months, the idea of building a platform that documents and shares the most catalytic stories and tools for African startups lingered.
The kind of platform that doesn't just inform, but unlocks. That doesn’t just inspire, but builds bridges
One day, the camera was switched on. And that hesitation became movement.
From startup storytelling, to ecosystem insight.
From hidden rooms to open access.
TSE exists to make sure that if you’re building for Africa — you’re not building alone.
