Daniel holds a track record of 10+ years in
international public and private sector roles covering key sector verticals such as; climate, clean energy,
transportation, circularity, Fintech, waste management, digital convenience, streaming, Edtech and
agriculture across Africa.
Some of the organizations he has worked for include; Africa Enterprise
Challenge Fund (AECF), Africa Mini-grid Developers Association (AMDA), GreenMax Capital Group,
Intellecap, SunFunder (acquired by Mirova) among others. Through these, he has served diverse clients
including; corporates, SMEs, project developers, donors, DFIs, Foundations, INGOs, incubators and start-
ups. As such, he has deep exposure to investment mandates that hold a cumulative Assets Under
Management (AUM) of over USD 1 Billion.
Daniel also holds various thought leadership roles in boards,
industry working groups, and investment committees.
He is passionate about entrepreneurship in
Africa and has translated his passion to supporting more than 100 SMEs and start-ups in various advisory
assignments as well as an active angel investor either directly and collaboratively through Nairobi
Business Angel Network (NAIBAN) and as a Limited Partner (LP) in Future Africa.
Daniel holds various
qualifications and certifications including; BSc. Electronic & Computer Engineering (JKUAT), BSc. Applied
Accounting & Finance (Oxford Brookes University, UK), an accountancy certification from the Association
of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 qualification,
Fintech Training (CFTE – Centre for Fintech in Africa), as well as Fellowships from Aspen Network of
Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) and African Venture Philanthropy Alliance (AVPA) among others.
Daniel has been honoured with various international accolades including; Charge Rising Energy Star
(2024) from Charge Events and The Global Power Elites 2022 [Here] among others.
She has worked across multiple local and international
enterprises, start-ups and institutions where she has managed research projects, client face
time engagements, proposals and curated content. She has worked for organizations like the
Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and the Japanese
International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Earlier in her career, she worked as a PR practitioner
for GuidedPR, a UK based PR outfit that supports business scale up through facilitating media
visibility as well as an Assistant Editor at Movemeback, a UK based recruitment firm where I
managed the Movemeback Pulse Newsletter, a weekly publication that highlights issues facing the
African continent across a variety of topics such as education, gender, financial inclusion, healthcare
and technology infrastructure. She also worked in several other roles including interning at a non-
profit radio station Transworld Radio.
